Michelin has revealed on November 16th the new 2021 edition of the MICHELIN Guide Beijing. In total, 30 establishments have been selected, including 2 Three-Star restaurants: Xin Rong Ji (Xinyuan South Road) and King’s Joy (promoted from Two Stars to Three Stars), 2 Two-Stars: Shanghai Cuisine and Jingji(new to the list) and 26 One-Stars, in which 7 establishments get their first One Star.

This year’s Service Award goes to Ms. Liu Shiling from Xin Rong Ji (Xinyuannan Road) as a supervisor and the Young Chef Award goes to Julien Cadiou, the French chef of restaurant Jing.
It is worth mentioning that after other countries like France, the MICHELIN Guide unveiled a brand new distinction for the first time in Beijing, China: the MICHELIN Green Star. King’s Joy is the first restaurant in Beijing to be awarded a MICHELIN Green Star by the MICHELIN Guide. King’s Joy chef Gary Yin is the world’s youngest 3 Michelin-starred chef in 2020.
